Whether you had the "new" or "old" version can be determined by reference to the batch number and the best before date. 22.4oz bottle, BB 07/07/09. Small off-white head atop hazy amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, pineapple, some berry, light bread. Taste is moderately sweet, grapefruit/pineapple, some honey, light alcohol, bread. Kind of seems like hop extract was used. Medium-full body, low carbonation, some acidity.

Cask, Leicester Fest 09. Lightly hazy gold with a thin head. Aromas are sweet grapefruit with lots of herbal and medicinal notes. Boozy with sweet floral hops. Flavours are sweet citrus with herbal, floral notes. Spicy with a deep honey sweetness. Bitter grapefruit and spices with lots of peppery notes. Strong alcohol. As big and brash as you would expect from Brewdog.

Cask, Derby Winter Fest 08. Hazy gold with a white foam. Aromas are woody with crystalised sugar. Alcohol and spicy hops. Some caramel. Flavours are sweet caramel and Autumn fruit with some citrus. Woody with a viscous palate. Hoppy and dry on the finish with more alcohol following. A little disappointing.

RBSG @ O’Briens from Dr. Bill. Poured a fairly clear yellow color with an almost white head. Bready malt aroma with floral and light citrus hops. The flavor had a malt sweetness to it with light toffee and light citrus notes. Medium bodied and well hidden alcohol.

Bottled. A dark golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is very sweet and very hoppy, the hops giving it notes of elderberrises and grass - reminds me of first gold hops. The flavor is very sweet - with strong notes of caramel, and with a good mouthfeel. But it lacks bitterness, which in turn makes it a bit sticky in the mouth - give it more bittering hops and it’ll be great.

Moderate hops. Clear gold color. Light hops flavor and a solid palate. Some citrus and a little pine. I am surprised the alcohol is so high, it was well hidden in the flavor.

Bottled. Slightly hazy golden. Almost no head. Sweet, perfume-ish, fruity aroma and flavour. "Sweaty socks" was a comment from an ipa-rookie...

Pours burnt orange with gold highlights and a moderate to small white head. Aroma is piny and fruity, but like some strange flowers I’ve never smelled before; also with lemon, unoaked chardonnay, and a slight white chocolate malt base. Tastes sweet at first with white chocolate, white bread, and brown sugar, sweet orange and lemon citrus, slight pine, and plants. Finishes with linger sugar-coated citrus that’s kinda tangy, fruity, and plenty bitter. Medium bodied, light-ish carbonation, very soft mouthfeel. Decent and interesting, it’s got some finesse aside from the bitterness.
