Aroma of hop, grapefruit, flowery. Quite bitter taste. But not as strong as most other double IPAs. Bit ’emo’ instead of hardcore. motelpogo (4395), Plzen, Czech Republic

Clear yellow ale with a small, creamy, white head. The aroma is a marriage of earthy, spicy, citric and herbal hops. Full-bodied with a mildly creamy mouthfeel and standard carbonation. Big pale malt backbone, earthy hops and warm alcohol. Finishes bittersweet and boozy. Kudos to growler for sharing! skortila (2913), Bunnik, Netherlands

Slightly, hazy yellow coloured with a thin, white head. Taste is bitter, a little sweet, has citrus. Okay, but the suggests something more heavy. notalush (2684), Denver, Colorado, USA

Deep golden colour, solid white head. Sweet and hoppy, where sweetness dominates. Would gain from ageing. At present, t’s just a mish-mash of bold, sweet big-ness. Sparky27 (1608), Phoenix, Arizona, USA

Pours a dark gold with a creamy one finger off-white head that leaves nice lacing. The nose is caramel and floral hops. The taste is sweet caramel malt, sweet citrus and light resin in the finish. Medium bodied. A tad sweet for my tastes, but not a bad IPA. doubleo (1121), San Diego, California, USA

Pours deep, clear, straw yellow with a small, sticky white head, some lace. Smells sweet and earthy pine. Tastes of pineapple and some spicy, grassy hops. Different. Very sweet, somewhat hop resiny with some alcohol as well. Resiny sweet/bitter. Medium/full body with subdued carbonation. Bottle condition maybe?
