| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 4, 2009 Bottle pours golden amber, a bit viscous, with some sparse white bubbles once the initial head fades. Incredibly fruity hop nose, with peaches, pineapple and other tropical fruit, grapefruit, and so on. Initial syrupy sweetness rolls into a firm, ass-whooping bitterness. Tongue-coatingly, resinously bitter aftertaste. Extreme in all the places you’d expect, I guess. A bit more carbonation would help scrub that gunk off my tongue. Fun to smell and taste, though.

God fylde. esox (265), Oulu, Finland
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 2, 2009 Batch 259. Clear orange to copper beer. Minimal white head with bubbled texture and some lace. The nose has a decent punch of hops: pineapple, lemon and pine. Later on hops fade a bit and give way to caramel malts. Rather heavy maltiness balances the bitterness with good amount of sweet caramel. Long and bitter finish with no alcohol sensation. Full bodied and thick palate, low carbonation. Good stuff but it lack complexity and some aroma hopping. redlight (1471), Winter Park, Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 1, 2009 Hints of pine with tropical fruits, papya, fresh pomegranates on the nose. Pours a very light golden blonde. Piney, resiny hop flavors with caramel malts with some bread, very strong bitterness. Excellent! OldGrowth (1425), North Carolina, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 30, 2009 bottle, from ether Julio’s or Halftime, I forget.. Good aroma, sweet. Butter scotch, in a good way though. Hazy brownish orange color, small head, faded quick, no lace. Sweet bitter flavor, Al ot of caramel for a ipa, not super hoppy. Medium body, creamy oily mouthfeel, bitter dry finish. Eh, kind of confirming my feeling about Euro ipa’s, gotta be better there then here. Believe it was the most recent batch as I passed on two others form them as too close to expiration date. jesperhammer (303), Copenhagen, Denmark

Batch 057 (I think - letters are very small, and ABV is high!) before date:15-11-10, so I guess this is the new version.
Quite light in colour with orange hue, and almost white head.
Lovely grape fruit nose. Very bitter, very little malt - unfortunately. Not so IIPA, more like a hardcore IPA.:-)
Lacks some in creaminess, and is a bit onedimensional. Still I enjoy it. Especially the long lasting taste. tlind2 (604), Helsinki, Finland
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 26, 2009 12 oz bottle in November (don’t know the BBD). Cloudy golden color, white head. Hoppy aroma with pine notes. Bitter, hoppy flavor with some alcohol, biscuity malts and grapefruit, dry finish. Full body, medium-light carbonation. It’s ok. mikkopen (262), Oulu, Finland

NIce aroma of citrus fruits, floral hops, pine and caramel. The flavour is fruity, caramel-malty, with a long, lingering bitter finish. Medium to full-bodied, very low carbonation. joe19612 (690), camberley, Surrey, England
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 20, 2009 Bottle. Pours a amber orange colour with no head and not much carbonation. Real citrus aroma, the taste is like a very bitter citrus taste with a dry finish.
