Aroma has a strong orange citrus, light mango, very light grainy note and some light grassy hops note to finish. Flavor has an upfront orange citrus which rolls into a slightly biscuit toasted note with light sweet caramel and grassy hoppy ending. Very heavy body, low carbonation, oily texture and a low amount of lacing is left behind by the beer head. As a whole, the brew is pretty sweet with a good hop note. Alcohol is hidden pretty well but the beer seems to lack some balance in the hops characters. Still a good beer overall though.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 3, 2010 660 mL bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville, VA, best before 21/11/10. Wow... this was filled up to a couple millimeters from the top. They’re surely not skimping here! Pours a hazy peach/amber color with a thin fizzy head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of floral and citrus hops, stone fruits, perfume, soap, subtle leafy and nutty notes. Taste is bitter hops with resin and citrus notes as well as plum and other fruit notes. A woody finish and the faintest bit of alcohol. Medium bodied. Pretty decent, VTHopHead (937), Barre, Vermont, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 1, 2010 Bottle/22 - New recipe - Poured a golden amber in color with a medium foamy white head that faded a bit, but still produced some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma was quite hoppy... grassy with some citrus... and some caramel in the background. Flavor was all hops up front (citrus/grapefruit) with a caramel/burnt sugar backbone. A decent IIPA... worth repeating. jason (1627), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Dec 27, 2009 Not one of these guys’ best efforts for sure. Not bad, but certainly not great. Poured a soap bubble off white head and good lace. Color is a fairly clear medium to light amber. Aroma is a little earthy, simple, and nice. Flavor’s about the same. Body is good and so is carbonation. Finish is about the same. Say good night dick. mesperon (152), Jersey City, New Jersey, USA

Clear dark amber/orange. Decent head with lace. Herby/resiny hoppy aroma, slightly sweet. Very hoppy flavor with resiny/herby/slighlty woodsy notes. Also graefruit and a good amount of tangy rasberry/strawberry. Very good, different sweet flavor profile from most IPA’s. arminjewell (220), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 24, 2009 Old version, poured amber with a nice lasting head. Aroma was floral and herbal, with slight burnt malts. Taste was british hops up front, with some burnt toast malt that leads to a hop bitterness in the end. Overall a decent DIPA, but not the usual flavors. williamherbert (475), Syracuse, New York, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 21, 2009 Serious bitter hop aroma. Both oak and cat-piss. Tangerine and grapefruit. Tremendous.
Appears hazy yellow, like a hefe. Little to no head. Tiny, stray, upfloating bubbles. Pale amber/gold.
Flavor is blood orange and tangerine. Bitter grapefruit aftertaste. All citrus with a mild okay aftertaste as well. Roasted burnt cookie malts.
The palate is thick and creamy. A nice bitter fizz. An outstanding beer. Hops of a harvest ale; malts of a burnt nature. GeneralGao (3079), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 21, 2009 Bottle. Poured a slightly hazy yellow gold color. The head was two fingers high and consisted of big, soapy white bubbles. Equally matched malty caramel and fruit in the nose with a whiff of pine. Fruit aromas included pineapple, apricot, and orange. Medium bodied and slightly sweet with moderate bitterness. Pine was more prominent than the fruit in the flavor with a strong malty caramel and toasted bread backbone.
