| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 2, 2009 330ml Bottle from Realale.com. Deep amber in colour with a touch of red, next to no head and moderate carbonation. Massive hop aroma of citrus blossom, pine and tropical fruits, with some caramel malt lurking in the background. Light body, with more spiky hops but few malts to blance them. Finish was hugely bitter and is still continuing. Enormous for the ABV and, like Edge, it pushes the boundaries, although perhaps not quite so successfully. Still very good though. hughie (3082), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England

Otherwise this is dominated by strong bitterness, like burnt toast someone has been keeping under his armpit for a few hours. Somehow I missed the malt, spice, vegetable etc. oh6gdx (9104), Vasa, Finland

Grand Tasting @ The Harlequin, Sheffield.
Pours clear deep golden with a nice, creamy, off-white head. Aroma is sooo hoppy, lots of pine, grassy hops, light pineapple, apricot. Low carbonation, super dry mouthfeel - not thin at all! Super hoppy flavour, very bitter, piney and fruity. The malts are not far behind with some biscuity crispness. Wonderful.
Had it a few days later in Edinburgh, still brilliant. One of the singlemost brilliant session-beers in the world! Fin (3473), Merton, Oxfordshire, England
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 27, 2009 Bottle purchased via the Brewdog website, consumed 24-07-09 Pours light amber with a white head. The aroma is of fresh hop juices, really hoppy nose. This is stunningly hoppy in the mouth, very bitter, grapefruit pith lingers on the tongue, and the opportunity to do some wonderfully hoppy burps afterwards reminds you just how hoppy this is. Nice enough beer and great for the abv but it really is all about the hops. A7 A4 F7 P3 Ov14 3.5 bierkoning (6100), La Tropica, Netherlands

Grapefruit, red berries, cherry sweets and oily hops in the abundant aroma. Flowery and earthy hops banging in in the flavor. Loads and loads of flavor and aroma for such a modest ABV. Maybe a bit thin, but a brilliant beer. faroeviking (6126), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands
