RIXbeer (102), USA Nov 28, 2008 Pours black with a nice thin layer of head that fades faster than super man can jump over a building. WOW there is some seriously huge chocolate, coffee and caramel. You can taste the sweetness of the chocolate but it is overshadowed by the flavor from the barrel. Damn good, damn good! There is little carbonation but that is fine it is smooth and very easy to drink. Drink it up while it’s here. Could be gone in a matter of minutes. bu11zeye (5430), Frisco, Texas, USA Nov 18, 2008 (12oz. bottle, BB 12/12/09) Pours a dark brown body with a spare beige head. Aroma of bourbon, roasted malt, caramel, and peat. Flavor of roasted malt, bourbon, and coffee with a dry finish. danielcurtis81 (879), San Diego, California, USA Oct 30, 2008 Bottle. Pours solid black with almost no head or bubble. Mostly whiskey and some sweeter malt. Flavors of whiskey and a nice dark chocolate and sweet vanilla cream. Body is very thin. Very smooth though, you almost forget your drinking a beer. If you are a whiskey fan then it’s worth the try. zathrus13 (1288), Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA Oct 29, 2008 Pours dark brown, with almost no head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, whiskey, and chocolate. Flavor is whiskey, vanilla, roasted malt, coffee, and some dark fruit. Body is too thin. A nice brew, but not worth the cost. Soonah (900), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA Oct 27, 2008 The pour was dark, dark brown with a compact tan head. Minimal flecks of lacing. The aroma was malt, earth, oak, smoke, booze, light tart fruit and coffee. The flavor was smoke, tart fruit, coffee and a splash of scotch. The mouthfeel was disappointingly thin. An OK beer that was very expensive. Would not recommend unless it’s free.
