Bottle poured a clear dark brown with ruby highlights and a small lingering brown head. Aromas of scotch, oak, vanilla, chocol;ate, fruittiness and a hint of licorice. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of scotch, oak, vanilla, chocolate, light fruittiness and a hint of licorice with a smooth lingering bittersweet finish.

Bottle. Pours black with an average, frothy, light brown head, somewhat lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt -molasses, chocolate-, light hops -herbs-, heavy yeast -horse blanket, leather- with notes of alcohol, prunes, wood, and vanilla. Full bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, moderate sweetness and bitterness, light acidity.

12oz from Holiday Wine Cellar. Pours black with a thin tan head. Nose is sweet and malty with clear hints of scotch. taste is sweet, smokey and very much a different kind of earthy taste than what i’d expect from a typical impy stout. Tasty and different.

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, vanilla, and some good scotch notes. Flavor is rich with notes of scotch, vanilla, chocolate and burned wood. Another good one. I love these beers.

Thick like the others and quite a bit of fruit. Lots of malt, but not as much as the Speyside or Macallan. Some chocolate. it is good, but not much sign of the scotch.

Bottle. Dark mahogony brown beer with a small tan head. Vanilla and rich malt aroma. Whiskey and rich malt flavor with some nuttiness, vanilla, oak, and chocolate. Medium bodied. Lower carbonation. Vanilla, whiskey, and rich malt lingers.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours a thick black with no head at all. Somewhat weak aroma of chocolate, whisky, cedar and dry coffee. Taste is chocolate and a bit of coffee and peet. Not very bold. Syrupy mouthfeel verey light carbonation.

From the bottle pours dark ebony with a smooth tan head. Earthy nose of oak and soft smoke. Not near the scotchiness of the Islay, but much subtler peat and smoke to compliment the chocolate, toffee, and oat notes. The difference between each of these beers has been great to try.
