Courtesy darkguardian and growler. Pours a dark brown, with really no head. Light bubbles hug the edge of the glass. Smells of a blend of graham crackers, light whiskey, and chocolate malt. The flavor was more subtle than most brewdog beers Ive had. Nice flavor, just not as intense. Chocolate bitterness, roasted malt, and subtle whiskey notes all form its identity for the most part. Pretty nice and toned down version of the beers they usually do.

Dark brown color. Don’t get as much out of the nose as I’d like. Some barrel components of vanilla, coconut and scotch, with a hint of the base beer. Silky mouth feel, similar to 011. Flavor shows nice balance and isn’t overly peaty. Integrated barrel character which melds well with the base beer. Even a nice finish on this bad boy. It’s a nice ale.

Pours mahogany into a snifter. Offwhite head quickly recedes to hug rim. Peat aromas. Whiskey from front to back with a slight coffee and oak tinge. Lasting scotch burn.

Served at room temp per the label’s suggestion. An aggressive pour yields a pitch black body covered with only a slight dark tan head that recedes to a random pile of floating islands. Strong woody, peat scotch aromas with apparent roasted malts. Nice and smooth body is not overly heavy. The roasted body is powerful but overshadowed by the excellent scotch and hop finish that blends and leaves a lasting impression of a fine single malt scotch sitting on the tongue.

Bottle. Dark brown in color with a smaller beige head. Aroma is rich and thick with sweet maltiness, roast, sweet bourbon and woody notes. The taste comes out much weaker than the nose. Malts, lighter roast, smoke, some faint bourbon, and maybe a bit of chocolate. Not that every taste needs to be an assault on the palate, but this just seems a bit weaker than it should be...

Rich coffee, molasses, with oak in the nose. Pours dark amber, brown with a little to no head. Rich caramel malts with oak tannin and whisky flavors, rich molasses and hints of chocolate in the flavor. Very smooth and delightful. Rich and complex.
