Bottle. Pours an oily dark color with almost no head. Nose is fronted by bourbon, some light chocolate and dark malt notes in the back. Palate is oily and smooth with a nice bite. Flavors of crisp bourbon that fade into a nice dark chocolate, malty roastiness.

Bottle. Poured a deep black into a snifter with a small brown head. Aroma of scotch, bitter chocolate and roasted malt. Flavor of scotch whiskey and coffee. A little warming alcohol on the end. Even some fruity notes in the middle. Low carbonation and full bodied. Good.

Bottle. Aroma of sweet smoke, chocolate, sweet whiskey, sweet, lightly roasted malt. Flavor similar, rich with creamy chocolate with that ever-present whiskey and barrel complexity. Tasty.

Pours a dark brown/black with light tan head (diminishing). Grainy malt, coffee, hints of chocolate and dark fruit, and a good dose of bourbon. A little bit of vanilla and oak. Fairly complex, but overall not that enjoyable.

Pours dark brown, with almost no head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, whiskey, and chocolate. Flavor is whiskey, vanilla, roasted malt, coffee, and some dark fruit. Body is too thin. A nice brew, but not worth the cost.

bottle. really enjoyed this one. Black pour with almost no head. Sweet molasses, wood, light scotch, chocolate aroma. Aroma is complex but not extremely powerful. Smooth. Smoked woody, chocolate, roasted malt. Subtle and smooth as all hell. Very nice.

11.2oz bottle, courtesy of argo0. Thanks, Aaron! Done with comparison to three other Paradox Impys. Pours black, ruby edges, tan head. Faint alcohol in aroma, with chocolate. Flavor is chocolate at very end. More chocolate as it warms.

Thanks fishingnet (?) for the share. Pours dark cola brown with an off-white head. Nose is some dark chocolate with some smoke, barrel, and malt. Flavor is a bit fizzy but oak, alcohol, chocolate, some coffee, and a nice sweetness to it. Nice beer, gets better as it warms and laces the glass up nicely with its medium-bodied self.
