12oz bottle from South Bay Drug and Liquor. Pours a deep brown with a this beige head. Nose of dark pit fruits, toffee, oak, light vanilla notes. A little less viscous than expected. A great brew, a little underrated in my opinion.

12oz from Holiday Wine Cellar. Pours black with a thin tan head. Nose is sweet and malty with clear hints of scotch. taste is sweet, smokey and very much a different kind of earthy taste than what i’d expect from a typical impy stout. Tasty and different.

Bottle. Aroma of sweet smoke, chocolate, sweet whiskey, sweet, lightly roasted malt. Flavor similar, rich with creamy chocolate with that ever-present whiskey and barrel complexity. Tasty.

11.2oz bottle. Pours black with virtually no head. Smells dark malty and complex woody, peaty, slightly sweet with some booze. Tastes sweet roasty and dark malty with some sweet wood and a bit of bitterness from the wood and alcohol. Nice sipper. Medium/full body with okay carbonation.

From the bottle pours dark ebony with a smooth tan head. Earthy nose of oak and soft smoke. Not near the scotchiness of the Islay, but much subtler peat and smoke to compliment the chocolate, toffee, and oat notes. The difference between each of these beers has been great to try.
