Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin bubbly brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of whiskey, wood, alcohol, and roasted malt, as well as some chocolate. The flavor is hard roasted with some sweetness and strong notes of alcohol, biting the tip of the tongue, as well as some pretty strong notes of whiskey and grain, and medium notes of caramel, roasted malt, and wood, leading to a dry woody finish.

Tasted blind along with three other Paradox Imperial Stouts on an Imp Stouty Tasting evening with Case, Traci and Loz 14-03-08, Poured very dark brown with just a small amount of beige bubbles. The aroma is stunning soft crushed tangerines that had been steeped in christmas spirits, quite wonderful. The taste is very silky smooth, oaky creamy vanilla starts to show first and the alcohol starts to show, it’s got a lazy quality about it which is great the whisky chracteristics have become so well intergrated into this beer it feels quite right. I like it but it still could have been better. big, big thanks to Craig, cgarvieuk for getting me these beers, cheers mate.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Nose is toasted coconut, booze, dark fruits. Nice dark mahogany colored pour with no head. Tastes like dark tree fruits. Thick mouthfeel, with faint smoke and loads of tasty dark rum cake. Sugary and delicious.
