you can taste the barrel aging which gives unusual taste notes and aroma. Pure black color. no head and not much carbonation. You can feel the Alcohol on tongue, and a little in taste. Dark Chocolate and burnt malty flavour. light body.

Clear dark black color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, roasted, burnt, caramel, smoke, whisky - moderate to light heavy vanilla. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long to average duration. Sweetness is vanilla sweet. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (090708)

Aug 24, 2008 Black body, beige head; Incredible nose, super smooth with very fitting alcohol sharpness; A little to whiskey sharp body, bitter and slightly sweet; Alcohol in finish mixed with very smooth whiskey aromas. Not perfectly composed or balanced, but super interesting.

Aug 16, 2008 11.2oz bottle. Batch 007 BB 3/12/08. Poured a dark brown color with red edges and an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of oak, wood, vanilla, light whiskey, and some earthiness. Tastes of wood, vanilla, whiskey, light peat, caramel, and some dark fruits.

Aug 7, 2008 Bottle. Dark brown almost black colour with a medium beige head. I sense vanilla and oak besides from the expected roasted malt, chocolate and liqorice. Some port in nose as well. Flavour is dakr roasty malts and the sweetness from a whisky cask. Very long roasty finish of vanilla and oak. Very interesting brew.

Aug 6, 2008 Smooth beer with vanilla and whisky flavors finishing to a nice oaky dry roasted finnish. Admirably balanced near perfect marriage of beer and whiskey, the aroma promises a lot and the taste manages to top it. I love this stuff.
