Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of Storm. Pours dark brown with a tint of red and a tiny rough off-white head. Lovely sweet whisky aroma. Solid body, low in carbonation, very burned malts, woody, burned, ashy and astringent. Very malt astringent actually. 161209

Bottle from Systembolaget, Charlottenberg. Dense, bubbly tan head with a ruddy hue. Body is dark ruby brown and almost translucent when holding it up to the light. Surprisingly rounded aroma. Fresh acidulous, almost Belgo-yeasty up front. Then a a well prononced roastedness, some peaty, light smoky malts, and a tone of salty licorice, actually. Restrained whisky aroma. Taste has a bold, roasted malt flavor. Not very sweet, chocholaty, with a solid, earthy and spicy hop bitterness in the backbone. Suggestions of tar, bitter coffee and campfire. Alcohol (and whisky) well masked, some warmth in the ending only. Medium to full body strenght. Juicy mouthfeel, very smooth. Both powerful, complex, and easy drinkable. I like this a lot.

Acquired in a trade with matt7215. Thanks Matt! Pours a dark brown with a thin beige head. The aroma is roasty, sweet, and had the distinctive scotch aroma. The flavor is a nice mix of sweet scotch, oak, roasty malts, and alcohol. Decent. Thabks Matt!

Pours black not much head, light on the carbonation. Sweet woody , whiskey aroma. It really smells like an Arran malt. The flavour is very sweet and strong with a distinct woody flavour that blends very well with the whiskey flavour. It definatley tastes like the Arran. It also has a very rich bold roasted malt flavour which is very well integrated into the palate. I am very impressed with this beer.
