Bottled (Alko, BB 02/2011). This beer is now called "Paradox Speyside". Opaque black color, small tan head. Aroma of licorice, roasted malts, vanilla and whisky. Medium-bodied, almost a bit thin for being 10%. Roasted, some vanilla, iron and whisky. Finish is roasted, almost burned with touch of alcohol. Solid Paradox.

Bottle bought @ De Molen. Deep dark brown color. Almost opague. Salt, dark chocolate and notes of whisky in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with dark chocolate, raisin, oak, whisky and dried fruit. Well balanced, the whisky lingers on in the background in a most pleasant way.

Bottle... Post RBSG ’08 O-Town/Vero Beach Throwdown Chapter 8... Clear, very dark ale with a small, off-white head. Very restrained nose offers subtle notes of chocolate, Scotch and brandy with even lesser wafts of tobacco, leather and wood. Full-bodied and velvety with limp carbonation. Chocolaty and boozy. Nice bitterness. Finishes hot and deeply roasted. Thanks go out to growler for sharing this bottle!

Pours a transparent dark mahogany with a thin, stringy-lacing light tan head. Aroma of sweet dark caramel and chocolate with nice peaty smoke and roasted malty character. Body starts with good fullness and sweet dark caramel and sherry notes along with a complex balance of smoky peat and roasted malt. Finishes smooth and semi-sweet. Well aged and enjoyable.
