Commercial Description:
Bottle & cask; Special.
NOTE: Marked batch 005 on the bottle label. Matured in a Glen Moray 1992 cask although this is not detailed on the label.
This edition sees our Imperial Stout aged for several months in specially selected Speyside malt whisky casks. This maturation process results in the whisky flavours and aromas being infused deep into our beer.

Bottle (Thanks to Bu11zeye) many thanks! Poured a nice black with tan head, light retention. Aroma of whisky & Dark roast. Flavor is strong with whisky and dark roast, sweet. Has a full body with medium carbonation. This is a VERY good stout.......

Bottle 33cl. Pitch black and with almost no head. Lots of roasted malt, tar and smoke in the nose. Supriseingly light body with lots of roasted malt, tar and smoke. Almost tastes like a whiskey. Aftertaste dominated by peat, smoke, tar and roasted malt. Strange beer.

Black body, light beige head; Not to big quite metallic malty nose; Warm full body with much the same character as finish, not as well fitting as some of the other barrels this one is a little to much whiskey mixed with beer.

12-oz. Thanks, Skoi! Black with bright amber highlights. Dense tan film atop, got some lace showing as well. Rich creamy body with lots of peat, caramel, and roast. Milder than the glen grant, though the flavor profile is from same general province. More harmonious than the GG as well. Long, hot, roasty finish.

12-oz. bottle purchased at Liquor Max in Loveland, CO. Pours opaque with a small, rocky, light brown head, somewhat lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (molasses, coffee, burnt, chocolate), light hops (perfume), heavy yeast (horse blanket, leather, musty) with notes of light alcohol, prunes, dates, smoke, tar, charcoal, and licorice. Full bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, moderate sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

Flaske.
