Cons: Same appearance as the other Paradox. Not dark enough and filtered. Mouth feel needs more weight and texture as well.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 26, 2009 Bottle: Pours a transparent dark copper mahogany with a thin ring of beige head. Aroma of salty smoky peat and lightly sweet toasted caramel malt. Starts with decent fullness and an earthy peaty smoke flavor with some dry oak and grassy bittering hops before a much drier, slightly roasted finish. Could use more sweetness and a touch more body, but still an enjoyable scotch barrel aged stout. wetherel (1627), Encinitas, California, USA

I could have got it in Tokyo. Whereever. Pours black-brown, with no head. Carbonation is very light. A bit of roast. The flavor is low. I suspect oxidation has dulled the flavors, but not really added any off flavors. A bit of booze. A bit hard to drink. Interesting, fun peaty aroma. I think it just needs some sweetness and carbonation. back (9), Holstebro, Denmark does not count | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 15, 2009 coffee, smoke, vanilla, woody, black, cloudy, minimal head, brown foam, full body, creamy, flat, travita (1920), Frisco, Texas, USA
