Pours a hazy copper body with golden edges and a luscious ivory head. The aroma is spicy, peppery, hints of cedar wood. Suggestions of ripened red apple, black pepper corns, wet straw, grapefruit zest, pineapple, and apricots. I really dig this beer!! It is a wonderful change from the American IPA; I have become exceedingly accustom too. Hints of a sour dough bread yeast, and some rye spicyness… Do they use rye in this beer? A wonderful caramel malt and spicy bitter finish… A rather memorable brew for me!

Dec 9, 2009 bottle thanks to thirdeye11. light gold with a white head. nose is resinous tropical fruits with a slight caramel overtone. very nice on the palate with a tropical hop flavor with some slight caramel in the back.

Dec 9, 2009 ( 22.4 oz bottle best by 11/24/2010) pours clear yellow with oily bubbly head. Nose of pineapple, mango, and other citrus hops. Taste of earth, bitter grassy hops, and hairspray. Oily body and good carbonation.

Dec 9, 2009 Poured clear and slightly darker gold than a pedestrian lager. The head was white and relatively short but the lacing was nice. The aroma is mostly floral and pine hops with some nice citrus offering some balance. Flavor was aggressive pine and floral hops. Some malts and citrus came in from time to time. Medium bodied and quite enjoyable.

Dec 9, 2009 Bitter sweet IPA. Although the bitterness is potent it goes away gently encouraging you to ask for more.
I enjoyed this and look forward to enjoying some more.

Nov 29, 2009 A straw colored hazy beer with a small offwhite head. Aroma isn’t as hoppy as it should be, but what hops are there are a bit piney, atop some bready yeasty maltiness. Flavor has a bit more hop evidence in the form of bitterness, but mostly this is not quite worthy of the style IPA. Bitter finish.

Nov 26, 2009 Clear golden, hoppy floral aroma of citrus, pines and caramel. Flavour is sweet in beginning with lots of strong bitternes in finish. Well balanced.

Nov 24, 2009 A very enjoyable thirst quencher on tap. A little more hops could improve this considerably. A very good summer IPA in golden amber colour; such a gorgeous texture from draught. A very slight head. Citrus hops, oranges and grapefrruit on the nose. A very nice easy going summertime drink. Hope the Rake get this in for the summer too.

Nov 21, 2009 Pours from 660ml bottle a bright, yet clear orange. Aroma of pines evident. Flavour was of a bitter beer, harsh resins with a slight malt character. Bitter to my liking, others may not. Lovely beer from my people in Scotland...
