Aug 16, 2009 Not a large head,recedes to weak coverage,ample carbonation,when pouring it has a dark brown colour but finishes very dark in the glass,aroma coffee caramel vanilla, chocolate,flavour roasted malted tastes coffee,chocolate,nice bitter fairly smooth,at 8% alcohol good hop backing,finish bitter,mild but good sweetness,abover average stout.

Aug 10, 2009 Bottle. It’s dark brown with deep ruby red in the colour and a thin brown head. Aroma is relatively mild with dark chocolate and roasted coffee beans. There’s some distant hop aroma in there too. Body is smooth and full. Flavour is quite dry, becoming more complex with plenty of coffee and creamy dark chocolate. Finish is long and dry.

Aug 9, 2009 On cask at The Pub in Naples, FL. Black color. Aroma of teriyaki and malty-sweetness. Subtle caramel and licorice, great balance in flavors. Malty yet yeasty. Mild carbonation, full body. Quite dark, yet easy to drink. Incredibly well-balanced. Excellent.

Aug 8, 2009 Bottle. Dark brown body with a amsll off white head. Roasted malt, caramel, cream and tobacco in aroma. Mostly roasty flavour with notes of chocolate, raisin, light coffee and caramel leading to a dry roasty finish. Medium bodied. To the ordinary side of the impy stouts.

Aug 7, 2009 Damn this was pretty ordinary. Barely any nose to speak of, even after half an hour of warming. Quite flavourless too for the high ABV. Tastes more like a traditional stout than an Imperial. Big Bear Stout by Bear Republic shows you can make a very flavourful stout at this ABV, but brewdog are pretty far off here.

Aug 5, 2009 Bottle. Dark ruby, almost black, with only a small pale head that dissipates quickly. There are strong notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee on the nose with lesser hints of lavender. It is almost creamy on the palate without being thick or overly dense. The flavour is less agressive than the nose (or the packaging) would suggest-it is almost graceful without being dainty.
