Nov 23, 2009 Bottle, thanks Frylock. Dark brown, some light shines through. Nose is caramel, dark honey, rich dark malts, alcohol. Flavor is rich malt, roasty & lightly burnt. Some tobacco. Lingering toffee/caramel finish with nice bitterness.

Jan 14, 2009 33 cl bottle. Black color, moderate beige/tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, hops and hints of liqorice. Flavor is smotth roasted malt, coffee, chocolate. Dry finish. A very nice beer.

Aug 26, 2009 Cask at RnH. Near black with a beige head. Roasted malty aroma, with tar and molasses. The flavor has a pretty distinct smoky note, almost like burlap, as well as coffee and roasted malt. Not very subtle, but quite tasty.

Aug 8, 2009 Bottle. Dark brown body with a amsll off white head. Roasted malt, caramel, cream and tobacco in aroma. Mostly roasty flavour with notes of chocolate, raisin, light coffee and caramel leading to a dry roasty finish. Medium bodied. To the ordinary side of the impy stouts.

Apr 18, 2009 Bottle: Dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of roast and espresso. Maybe a little cocoa. Flavor is a rich blend of espresso, dark fruits, roast, molasses, and a little smokey. A feeling of the abv before the bittersweet tail. Nice.

Jul 12, 2008 330ml bottle, at home with renffisch, 17th June 2008. Pours a very dark, red-tinged brown. Lovely complex taste and aroma - apricots, chocolate, coffee, caramel, treacle, molasses, hops. Creamy & smooth yet not too cloying, this is a very drinkable stout indeed.

May 17, 2009 Pours a one finger cream head that fades quickly to a ring leaving some lace. Almost black, faint mahogany highlights. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Woody coffee nose. Flavor is roasted to burnt coffee, hints of alcohol. Drying finish. Best by Sep 9, 09. $6.99 for a 22.4oz bottle from Beverage Warehouse Winooski, VT.
