Commercial Description:
Cask & Bottled;
It was only a matter of time before the original BrewDog got his paws in on the action. This egotistical young lab has decided to make a beer which best reflects himself. This is the beer equivalent of the big, cute chocolate monster. Soft, smooth, dark, chocolately and very strong. This gentle giant will never bite but would much rather give you a big lick on the face.

(Bottle, Batch 002) Pours a dark reddish brown body with small beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, light chocolate, caramel, and nuts. Flavor of roasted malt, hops (citrus), chocolate, and coffee with a bitter finish.

Pours a nearly opaque black with dark copper edges and a thin, spotty-lacing light tan head. Aroma of lightly sweet caramel malt with some roasted notes and a healthy dose of peat. Starts a little thin for the style, but has a decent amount of dark malty sweetness with some strong roasty bitter balance before a smoky, peaty, dark chocolate finish. Pretty smooth, yet complex and very drinkable. An interesting take on the style.

Bottle... NFL Day at dchmela’s in O-Town... Pitch black with a mid-sized, creamy, off-white head. The aroma is a collaboration of chocolate, vanilla and tree nuts. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Chocolaty and a touch boozy. Big, burnt bitterness. Lengthy, chocolaty, bitter finish.

Bottle. Sweet to start, chocolatey, slightly ashy, earthy malt notes. Finish is bitter and slightly leafy in the finish. Roastyness is always there, probably a little less complex than i was expecting, but still a great stout. very tasty.

courtesy of Toni Flükiger - very dark with a little dark beige foam; roasted aroma of black chocolate with a fair presence of hops; full-bodied and sticky; robust bitterness and a longroasted aftertaste of pralines with a touch of mocha - full of character and balanced

Coca-Cola coloured, no head. Grassy, mossy, very few real stout aroma’s. Sweetish liquorice flavour, wood, plywood flavours, working to a peppery stout. Medium bodied, very slick, even oily. Quite nice stout, not too strong, but very flavourfull.
