Commercial Description:
Cask & Bottled;
It was only a matter of time before the original BrewDog got his paws in on the action. This egotistical young lab has decided to make a beer which best reflects himself. This is the beer equivalent of the big, cute chocolate monster. Soft, smooth, dark, chocolately and very strong. This gentle giant will never bite but would much rather give you a big lick on the face.

(Bottled) Very dark cola brown with a smallish, but firm, beige head. Roasted malt and lots of milk chocolate in the nose, with hints of milky sourness, but also some strange, gluey-stingy-sweaty side-aroma. Sweetish-malty flavor with some licorice, and a burned-roasty charcoal finish. Medium, slightly thin body with low carbonation. In a way quite similar to Slottskällans IS, but much more rough on the edges, and not nearly as smooth and balanced.

Bottle. Poured black with nothing but a watery gurgle of to top it off, a disappointing start. But the manly aroma gets me reinterested and on the first sip I’m completely turned into a fan. Rich with flavor, this is a delicious brew -- full of dark fruit, coffee, and a nice bitter finish. (#3596, 11 July 2009)

Bottle at Aarhus beerfestival. Pours black with a off white head. Lots of roasted malts, chocolate & coffee. Only lightly smoked, which for me is quite pleasant. Dark fruits - plums & raisin. Quite dusty & warm. Quite good product!

Thanks to a rep for leaving our store a sample. Black color with a thin head. It was immediately obvious this was the base beer for the previous one (Paradox). Roasty malt aroma, light oak and a bit of salt. Strong, grainy taste. Lots of roast and bitter chocolate. Earthy and chalky.

Bottle shared thanks to Willblake I think. Pours a Deep dark brown wiht a thinning head. Aroma of chocolate malt, light licorice, anise, earth toast and hints of coffee. More chocolate malt, with a charred acrid balck malt bitterness, herbal and earthy like hops and more anise in the end.
