Roasted malt and lots of milk chocolate in the nose, with hints of milky sourness, but also some strange, gluey-stingy-sweaty side-aroma. Sweetish-malty flavor with some licorice, and a burned-roasty charcoal finish. Medium, slightly thin body with low carbonation. In a way quite similar to Slottskällans IS, but much more rough on the edges, and not nearly as smooth and balanced. Braudog (3779), Dayton, Ohio, USA

Poured black with nothing but a watery gurgle of to top it off, a disappointing start. But the manly aroma gets me reinterested and on the first sip I’m completely turned into a fan. Rich with flavor, this is a delicious brew -- full of dark fruit, coffee, and a nice bitter finish. (#3596, 11 July 2009) Dedollewaitor (3773), Odense, Denmark

Lots of roasted malts, chocolate & coffee. Only lightly smoked, which for me is quite pleasant. Dark fruits - plums & raisin. Quite dusty & warm. Quite good product! saxo (3677), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark
