Commercial Description:
Cask & Bottled;
It was only a matter of time before the original BrewDog got his paws in on the action. This egotistical young lab has decided to make a beer which best reflects himself. This is the beer equivalent of the big, cute chocolate monster. Soft, smooth, dark, chocolately and very strong. This gentle giant will never bite but would much rather give you a big lick on the face.

Bottle. Batch 001 BB 03/03/09. Poured a dark brown color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of roast, chocolate, coffee, and a littel earthy. Tastes of chocolate, coffee, molasses, roast, a lighter earthiness, and some caramel.

Bottle.
Pours a rich, void-of-light jet black with a nice cream head. Aroma is marshmallow, chocolate, cocoa, and a hint of roasted malt. Flavor is ta,e sweet peaty chocoloate powder and bitter roasted malt. Nice mouthfeel but it fails to leave a lasting impression. Not shabby, but could use some more assertiveness.

Biggish brown head does not last. Deep dark red barely translucent body. Roasty rye grain aroma with chocolatey milky notes. Sweet-dry (mostly sweet) grainy roasty chocolate taste, quite dense, with peppery hop notes. Broad, full mouthfeel, with some alcohol heat. Dry burnt alcoholic chocolate aftertaste. Very good! (0.33l bottle, Olutkellari, Helsinki.)

Poured a black body with a small white tan/gray head. Light chocolatey nose, malty notes. Sweet, soft taste, coffee mostly, roasty, clashing with a strong hop bitterness found in the end and going long into the aftertaste. Alcohol very well hidden. Not too complex but nice.

Nose is chocolate with a hint of coffee, ebony, red at the sides, small toffee head. Taste is bitter chocolate, some fine malt, reminds me of chocolate chip cookies. Very nicely balanced, medium bodied, pleasantly sweet. Great!

3rd LCRBM. A fast rating, because the end of the session was near. Somewhat smoked aromas and flavors detected through the roasted malt. Good stout, although I preferred the aroma to the flavor.
