Pours black, tan head. Aroma very roasty. Huge robust roast malt flavour, big bitterness. Hops are there a wee bit. It okay.

Dec 24, 2009 (bottle, 33cl) Clear, mahogany colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Moderately sweet and roasty malty aroma with notes of anise, caramel, berry fruits and a tinge of noble hops. Roasty bitter flavour with a present and rounded malty sweetness, full bodied with a soft carbonation. Robust roast-malty, slightly molassy taste with caramel, chocolate and a tinge of anise spice; sweet and roast-bitter finish with warming alcoholic notes and a light but aromatic hoppy tail. Complex and superb brew. 24.XII.09

Dec 20, 2009 Aroma is Chocolate and Caramel. Appearance is jet black with a large creamy head. Taste is alcohol, chocolate, roasted malt and the malt hangs arounbd the palate. This is one of my favourite Stouts, pity BD seems to want to discontinue it. Not interesting enough gents?

Dec 20, 2009 A deep dark stout with a thin off white head. Aroma of bitter chocolate, dust, dark fruits, and fruity esters. In mouth, a nice lightly sweet chocolate, milkey, smooth, lightly hopped but sustained burned bitterness. A bit lighter bodied than expected. Not bad. Bieropholie Imports, BB 10-02-10.

Dec 19, 2009 pour was a dark brown with a very thin body I’ve had porters with bolder bodies aromas were of roasted malts,light coffee and hopping, taste was smooth and light maybe this is just the norm for european RIS

Dec 18, 2009 Aroma is strong, oily and smoky with an undertone of fine roast coffee and a hint of molasses. It pours a dark-chocolate brown, opaque and nearly black, with a fairly thick and somewhat persistent head. Rich flavor fills the mouth with roast coffee, molasses, unsweetened chocolate, caramel and even a bit of hops. Texture is jagged, fizzy and lively. This beer is NOT for the timid!

Dec 14, 2009 Brewdog Rip Tide 12/12/09 (bomber, says best before 9/9/09. Pours dark brown-purple, with almost no head. Aroma of raisins, peat, dark chocolate and a touch of sweet molasses. Body is medium and mild carbonation, a bit thin for the style. Flavor can be described simply as dark chocolate with an earthy, raisin-infused element. Not much roasts or coffee here. I’m not really impressed by this one. And this is the second Brewdog beer I’ve felt the same about (Punk IPA being the other). Lacks the body, complexity, and, well heck, the alcohol, of my favorite bold Impy Stouts.) 3.6.

Dec 13, 2009 Deep brown, almost black. Almost no head at all. Delicious combination of roasted malt, raisin, and dried fruit aromas and flavors.
