| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 1/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 19, 2008 Bottle: Poured a light clear amber color ale with a small bubbly head with minimal retention and no lacing. Aroma of dry and bitter hops with some English dry malt. Taste is also a mix betwen some dry malt with some slightly dry and bitter hops. Some presence of caramel malt would have brought sweetness to offset some of the dryness. Carbonation is almost non-existent with a light body. Not the most interesting beer out there.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Dec 14, 2008 All I got was puffed wheat, apples and pears through out the beer. It was too thin and I didnt like the hop character. Hops linger, but unpleasant. Not poorly made, just not for me. Rune (2863), Tromsø, Norway
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 12, 2008 330ml bottle bought at Luvians in St Andrews. Clear red-brown coloured body under a low white head. Spiced hops with malts to the nose. Rather rich taste of dark and dried fruits. Rounded aftertaste of bitter hop resin. Dry, refreshing and moreish [27.10.2008]. MartinT (5080), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

This balanced Amber Ale promotes caramelized cereals and sturdy leafy hops in a silky, loose mouthfeel fit for uncomplicated sessions.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-A big-bubbled foam ring crowns the clear dark amber.
-That caramel sits lazily on the tongue well after the sip is gone.
-Carbonation is rather low, perhaps emulating the cherished UK cask mouthfeel?
-The hops mostly participate in the second half of the sip, procuring pleasant bitterness.
Bottle; best before 10/08/09.
