Commercial Description:
Cask & Bottled;
A historically accurate beer based on the recipe devised on the 8th of February 2007. Recreated using the finest coloured malts which provide the complex sweet malt character which initially arouses the senses. Like a fine cheese cake the biscuit base has a smooth and creamy layer that both satisfies and entices. Culminating with a delicate fruit topping of blackcurrant and tinges of citrus to refresh the participant, complimented fully by the crisp dry bitter finish.

Strepitosa ale dal profumo marcato di luppolo fresco, ben bilanciata con un bell’amaro che pulisce; l’ho consigliata proprio ad un fisico.

Bottle. Poured a clear golden color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting and had good lacing. Good citrus hoppy aroma. Medium body with a smooth and soft carbonation. Moderate well balanced hoppy flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Good brew.

The hops had this awful sulfur and weedy hop with strange fruity components. Lightly medicinal. I was not happy with this beer.

Pours a clear golden color with a thin white head. Aroma of hops and caramel. Flavor of hops and caramel, it’s restrained though, not too expressive.

A large and expensive bottle. A decent bitterness, with a bit of sourness in finish that is drinkable and some may even seek out, but detracts from the style. A bit of infection or is it just me? An orangey colour, a bit of white head. Carbonation above average. Decent but overpriced.

In short: A lot of smooth caramel and a lot of resinous hops create this simple but above average Amber Ale. A simple but highly drinkable session ale.
How: Bottle 330ml, consumed fresh immediately upon reception through private importations (9 months before expiration date)
The look: Clear dark golden body topped by a little off-white ring of foam
In long: Nose caramel, wet wood and ripe citrus. The slighly oily body is well malted. Smooth caramel and wood juice followed by a good amount of resinous hops. Bitterness of medium intensity. This beer is hoppy enough that it could almost pass as an IPA. The beer is very simple which is inherent to the style but I can’t find anything wrong with it. Nice basic session beer. The Physics 101.

Hazed amber color with just a few bubbles adrift atop. Malty aromas, with caramel and grain. I catch some light sulfur and band-aids. The more this sets I am starting to catch the peat and iodine of a fine single malt, and what started as a 5 has wiggled its way up. Initial caramel and toasted biscuit flavors that are swept slightly aside with a pine bough. Some mild peat and iodine also in the finish. Linger is long with peated malt and a hint of buckwheat honey. Laid back amber is quite right. I could lay back with this one all afternoon at a pub or in the backyard. A touch strong for a session, but the flavors are strong enough to help slow the process.
