Feb 5, 2009 (22.4oz bottle, Batch 002, best by 06/06/09) Small but fluffy off-white head atop hazy amber body -- very cask-like. Aroma is mild, dough/caramel. Taste is medium sweet, caramel, grapefruit/citrus, light herb. Smooth light-medium body, light acidity. A solid beer, but way overpriced, at least here in the states.

Feb 4, 2009 22.6 oz bottle - Pours clear copper with a one finger head. It has a mild aroma of fruity hops and some malt in the background. The flavor is a well balanced caramel malt and moderate hops that has some light fruit notes. It’s a little thin and has a moderately bitter finish.

Feb 4, 2009 Bottle, Rainhall Drinks, Barnoldswick. Never my strong point Physics, but this ain’t a bad brew from the doghouse. Poured a murky amber colour with a restrained off white head. Fragrant hoppy aroma with some maltiness lurking. Caramel malt, marmalade, and grassy hop in the flavour. Quite a bitter finish. Pretty good stuff.

Feb 3, 2009 Pours a dirty yellow with a small off white head. Aroma is malty with a little spicy hop. Flavor is bitter hops that mellow into a decent bit of malt with the bitterness lingering on the tongue.

Feb 3, 2009 Murky dark orange pour. At first I get some grapefruit hops but as it warms the malt takes over and gives you a caramel sweetness. There is a toffee like finish with a thick sweet full mouth feel. Aroma is faint fruit with some prune and plum.

Jan 29, 2009 My bottle (12oz) shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus -- courtesy of Presario. Pours a clear golden-amber with an average size diminishing off-white head. Nice aroma of fruit, light hops and caramel malt. Flavour’s hoppier then expected, backed by caramel malt and has a long bitter finish. Medium bodied. Ambers tend to be dull and crappy, kudos to BrewDog for brewing an interesting and tasty one -- me likey!

Jan 29, 2009 Bouteille de 330 ml obtenue via Importations Privées Bièropholie. Arôme: Légère odeur de caramel et de céréales. Apparence: La couleur est cuivrée. Présence d’un mince col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de caramel avec une pointe d’agrumes. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est mince avec une texture légèrement huileuse. Faible effervescence en bouche. Légère présence de céréales en arrière goût. (Rating #2173)
