sinkr (212), Lusby, Maryland, USA Jun 9, 2009 Tap@Brewer’s Alley in Frederick, MD->mini pilsner glass. Pours a white, diminishing head atop a cloudy, yellow body. Has lots of carbonation and a citrus/bubblegum aroma and perhaps that of gingerbread. Sweet, but not cloyingly so with a lasting flavor and generally pleasant. Definitely a unique brew. I’d probably drink it a bit if they were closer. tronraner (1906), Maryville, Tennessee, USA Feb 16, 2009 Draught at the brewpub. Pours a clear burnt-sienna color with a whitish head. The aroma is marshmellow, light chocolate, some roasty notes, nutmeg, and strong caramelized and burnt sugar. The flavor is burnt sugar, clove, allspice, an odd woody/whisky character. Very earthy finish. The aftertaste is leather and tobacco. Weird beer, and I don’t think I liked it. DocHop (278), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Jan 20, 2009 Tap: Pours a dark brown with a decent tan head that fades completely. Pretty strong aroma of banana, lightly roasted nuts, and sweet caramel. Flavor does a good job of matching the banana nut bread flavor, but lacks any significant body. Comes off a little watery, but a very unique flavor. The finish is a little bland, but glad I tried it. Derek881 (489), Frederick, Maryland, USA Nov 28, 2008 Enjoyed a pint on tap at the brewery with dinner. The aroma was a nutty, wheat-banana mix with a touch of citrus hops and caramel. It had a cloudy, darker orange-amber color with a thin, foamy white head that had short retention and only a little cling before disappearing. The beer had a sweet banana and nut flavor a subtle sourness too. It was very wet and watery and slightly on the thinner side with a weaker mouthfeel and very low carbonation. Decent beer, but nothing special, sorry Chris!
