Oct 4, 2009 On tap at the brewpub on 7/20/09: Pours a cloudy pale golden with a spotty-lacing white head. Has a sweet estery banana and clove spice nose. Starts with average fullness and good malted wheaty sweetness with a smooth and peppery clove finish. Could use a little more thickness.

Aroma: Lemony/citrus, banana, fairly typical hefe nose
Appearance: Hazy yellow pour, thin white head
Flavor: Malty and wheat flavor, spice (coriander)
Palate: Medium body, standard hefe mouthfeel
Overall Impression:
I liked this beer enough, but I am a bit surprised by it’s high marks. I mean it is basically a standard hefe, but I didn’t really find much standout about it.

Jan 21, 2009 Nice golden rich coloured body. Mild malty scent with yeast and curacao coming out. Medium-bodied; Strong malty and wheat flavour with coriander seed and a tiny bit of spices noticeable. Aftertaste shows a bit of a body with some nuts too. Overall, a good hef - definitely one to sample at a festival! I sampled this six ounce sample from pseudo-draught at the Old Dominion 2005 Beer Festival on 24-June-2005 in Ashburn, Virginia.

Aug 25, 2008 Weizen (unfiltered)-on tap-pours a thin white head and cloudy yellow color. Aroma is ripe bananas, some wheat. Taste is ripe bananas, secondary lemon, clove/pepper, some wheat, tart. Good effervescence.

Aug 22, 2008 From draught sample at the brewpub. Has a very nice lemony-wheat aroma, with just a bit of banana and clove. Carbonic gaseousness. Very traditional aroma and reminds me of Paulaner. Hazy golden amber with thin off-white head. Medium watery body with medium carbonation and light wheat acidity. Starts with traditional Hefeweizen character. Great banana-wheat-lemon tastes, full bodied and balanced. Has a light acidic wheat and soft hoppy finish. This is a really nice German wheat beer and I really enjoyed it.

Jun 29, 2008 hazy orange/gold with a tight spongy white head and lots of spotty lacing. big time aroma of bananas with spices, sweet grain, lemon and yeasty dryness. the palate is a bit sweet but it is cleared up with a dry yeasty spicy finish. lots of fruit in the flavor mostly creamy bananas but there is some sour lemon zest thrown in as well. also, touches of yeast and vanilla cream. medium body but quite soft and airy. reminds me of a banana vanilla ice cream shake...

Oct 25, 2007 Cloudy golden color. Bannana hops aroma. Yeast and bannana flavor. Not my cup of tea. Probablya fine Hefeweizen, but I don’t really care for Hefeweizens.
