Commercial Description:
This is the lightest style of weizen beer. The grist contains a large portion of wheat, which lends a distinctive note to the malt body and aroma. This style has significant haze and cloudiness. Also, it has been brewed with a traditional Bavarian weizen yeast, which gives it a pronounced clove and spicy character, as well as banana and bubblegum, and even some slight vanilla notes. Available June through September.

Pours hazy orangw with a medium head. Aroma is of citrus, gentle bubblegum, and wheat. Flavor is a solid hefe yeastiness (wheat, bubblgum, slight spice and banana). Medium body. Nothing different or special just a very solid hefe.

The apppearance is a bit on the scary side. This beer looks like a glass of tangerine juice with a heavy shot of cream. You couldn't see through this beer with the Hubble's telescope. However, the aroma is of wheat fields in heaven. Very fruity, spicy and hearty... yet, still a bit light on it's feet as a Summer beer should be. Tons...TONS of yeast in this beer (skip the protein shake and multivitamin, Superman). A very good Summer beer.

Nice golden rich coloured body. Mild malty scent with yeast and curacao coming out. Medium-bodied; Strong malty and wheat flavour with coriander seed and a tiny bit of spices noticeable. Aftertaste shows a bit of a body with some nuts too. Overall, a good hef - definitely one to sample at a festival! I sampled this six ounce sample from pseudo-draught at the Old Dominion 2005 Beer Festival on 24-June-2005 in Ashburn, Virginia.

On tap at the brewpub on 7/20/09: Pours a cloudy pale golden with a spotty-lacing white head. Has a sweet estery banana and clove spice nose. Starts with average fullness and good malted wheaty sweetness with a smooth and peppery clove finish. Could use a little more thickness.

From draught sample at the brewpub. Has a very nice lemony-wheat aroma, with just a bit of banana and clove. Carbonic gaseousness. Very traditional aroma and reminds me of Paulaner. Hazy golden amber with thin off-white head. Medium watery body with medium carbonation and light wheat acidity. Starts with traditional Hefeweizen character. Great banana-wheat-lemon tastes, full bodied and balanced. Has a light acidic wheat and soft hoppy finish. This is a really nice German wheat beer and I really enjoyed it.

hazy orange/gold with a tight spongy white head and lots of spotty lacing. big time aroma of bananas with spices, sweet grain, lemon and yeasty dryness. the palate is a bit sweet but it is cleared up with a dry yeasty spicy finish. lots of fruit in the flavor mostly creamy bananas but there is some sour lemon zest thrown in as well. also, touches of yeast and vanilla cream. medium body but quite soft and airy. reminds me of a banana vanilla ice cream shake...
