Draught, at the brewpub, July 2006. Gingery, almost lucozade, colour. Fresh, citric hop aroma. Grapefruit more prominent on the palate. Also some tropical fruit touches. Like the other beers here, good solid brewpub fare. Not a hop bomb - just decent, drinkable stuff.

On tap at the brewpub on 1/19/07: Pours a transparent bronze with a thin-lacing off-white head. Lightly sweet malty aroma has a touch of grapefruity hops. Body starts with a good balance of lightly toasted malty sweetness and fresh citrusy hops.

On cask at the brewpub on 1/19/07: warmer and less carbonated as expected, but is slightly more complex and drinkable with a touch of fruity esters.

Draft at the brewpub. Light amber with no head. Crisp and clean, this is a neat American pale ale. Lightly citric in flavor, but you really don’t get the citric bite until the final foll of beer off your tongue. Quite good. (#2657, 1/15/07)

Draft at the Brewpub, July 2006. An orange beer with a thin off-white hea.d The aroma is sweet with light notes of hops, fruit, and grass. The flavor is sweet malty and rather hoppy, early on from aroma hops, but it carries thru and gives a good bitterness in the end, which lasts for a long time, with an underlying note of fruit.

The best of three beers I tried at Brewer’s Alley. Much better than the Oatmeal Stout or the Nut Brown Ale, which are mediocre. This IPA was invigorating and full textured. Mellow, but it has substance. Not as intense as other IPAs, but that is it advantage to me, since I don’t like the overpowering Dogfish Head Style IPAs.

On tap at the brewery. Very nice hoppy aroma. So-so flavor--reminded me of a slightly above average British IPA. Decent.

On tap at the brewery, nice lasting head and bright, amber color. Strong aromas of hops and some lemon/orange. Bitter and hoppy taste.

Draught @ brewery: Bright orange color, towards the lighter side of orange, slightly cloudy, with a medium head. The head just simply will not quit, as I remarked on just about every one of their beers, the head sticks with nice lacing. The aroma is citrus/pine/floral hops all the way, though not quite to the level of west coast hop juice(not necessarily a bad thing), with a hint of toast/grainy malts. Taste is very hoppy up front (though it’s flavor, not ibu’s that hit you) with a solid bitter, citrus, pine taste all the way through. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, with a full mouthfeel. Finishes lightly bitter with floral hops in the nose and mouth.
