Commercial Description:
A British style that has a roasted nut-like aroma. Brewed with a number of dark malts, which lend a complex malt character. This beer does not have a lot of hop bitterness, only enough for balance. 5.2 - 5.6% alcohol, by volume

Clear, medium cherrywood brown-red. Thin filmy-beady head. Cereal aroma. Cereal, grassy nut flavor, lightly tart, medium-light sweetness with a roasty underpinning. Medium-heavy mouth, roasty, tart finish. Kudos to the brewmaster, well done.

Served at the restaurant in a pint glass, the beer had a rich brown color with a faint red tint. It was dark and cloudy with a small, creamy tan head. The aroma was malt dominated with roasty and toasty nut malt and a touch of caramel. It had a creamy, fizzy mouthfeel and a wet body. The taste was not too sweet, more of a bitter feel with a slight sour edge. A solid nut brown ale, but not the brewery’s specialty.

An excellent example of what nut brown’s are all about. can we get a ribbon for this outfit please? great smooth taste. gets real good towards the end of the cask. If there were a beer that I could take with me to work this would be the one. I love the nuts!

Draft at the brewpub. Dark roasty brown with a thin but firm tan top. Nice and full-bodied, moderately nutty with a solid malt base. Perfect accent of lightest bitter finish. Hint of smoke, too.(#2656, 1/15/07)

weak and insubstantial. I don’t care much for Nut Brown Ales, but this one had a very weak presence. Drinkable, but uninspired.

on draught at brewery. the aroma and flavor didn’t feature any one smell or ingredient too strongly. light well-blend ed caramel and nuts. color a reddish-brown. small light brownish head which lasted and lined the inner side of the glass even after I’d finished the beer. flavor was sweet from caramel. palate: thin and light-bodied. finish very slightly bitter. a run-of-the mill brown ale.

On draught, a golden brown with persistent head. Light aroma of malts, tastes like a nut brown. Not a big fan of this style, and this one wasn’t an exception.
