| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 13, 2008 There are definately some good qualities about this beer. Worst is the aroma, almost none. The oaty roastness is nice, but the mouthfeel feels to much like soda, and a little light for a sweet stout.
Not very impressed with food or beer, although this is the best beer of the night there.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 26, 2007 I really had high hopes for this, and though quite good, it wasn’t the exceptional brew that I had expected based on the quality of the other offerings from the pub. Almost black, tow-toned tan head. Nice roasty aroma. Roast, slightly sweet, slightly milky. Medium mouth, but somehow watery. Balaned, nice, but neutered. Medium roast finish. ¾ (5011), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 2, 2007 A fine stout. Good amount of roast and oatmeal in the nose, pretty much what it should be... some light smoke as well, perhaps some cream scents. Body is light, roast is heavy in the flavor, almost a creamy oatmeal quality at times. Solid beer. chriso (4852), London, Greater London, England
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 24, 2007 Draught, at the brewpub, July 2006. Dark mahogany colour. Creamy, grainy (not in a bad way) aroma, with some chocolate. Initial impact on the palate is sweetish and roasty but some tart, bitter notes develop in the finish. Fairly light mouthfeel. An other solid beer in the line-up, without being a blockbuster.

Aroma of dry earthy doughy dark malts and some milk chocolate. Body starts sweet, toasty and earthy with some chocolate chip cookie dough and a smoother toasty finish with some lingering coffee. A decent oatmeal stout.
