Aroma of dry earthy doughy dark malts and some milk chocolate. Body starts sweet, toasty and earthy with some chocolate chip cookie dough and a smoother toasty finish with some lingering coffee. A decent oatmeal stout. hopscotch (5507), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

This beer rocks.
The aroma is of dark roast coffee with a touch of chocolate. Though very dark, this beer is not black. Hold it up to the Sun and you see a lovely crimson hue. The flavor is of darkly roasted coffee and cocoa. Perfectly balanced. Not sweet as some oatmeal stouts can be. A dry, crisp finish. ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 2, 2007 A fine stout. Good amount of roast and oatmeal in the nose, pretty much what it should be... some light smoke as well, perhaps some cream scents. Body is light, roast is heavy in the flavor, almost a creamy oatmeal quality at times. Solid beer. BückDich (4854), McCall, Idaho, USA

Black, brownish with light head and lacing. Nose of vegetal roast, light asparagus and coffee. The flavor is creamy, light vanilla, some chocolate. The finish is a tough thin, decent. Needs more body and oat flavor. Nose was probably better yesterday (growler).
