Flavor: On the dull side, some grain, corn
Palate: Light body, crisp, watery
Overall Impression:
Wasn’t impressed by this beer much, I found it dull and light...not much else to say. TheEpeeist (1429), Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 1, 2009 12 oz bottle. Clear yellow with a slim white head. Nose is floral, tea and light toffee. Medium light with foamy carb. Has some substance. More sweet tea in the taste, with lemon. Finishes with a touch of honey and grapefruit pith. sinkr (212), Lusby, Maryland, USA Jun 9, 2009 Tap@Brewer’s Alley in Frederick, MD->mini pilsner glass. Pours a white, diminishing head atop a clear, yellow body with some lacing. Heavy wheat aroma, a lasting grain taste and finishes bitter and then astringent. It is what it is--a pils. MaltDawg (778), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jun 5, 2009 (Sample Date: 2/28/2009 Source:Other) At the brewery. Light graininess with some spicy hop notes in aroma. Clear light golden with a small white head. Light dry graininess in flavor. Finish is dry and slightly bitter. Nejhleader (924), Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 6, 2009 I wasn’t a huge fan, almost reminded my of a good version of miller lite. crisp pils taste to it but not to my liking. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA Mar 24, 2009 On tap at the brewpub on 02/28/2009. Clear golden yellow body with a large fluffy off-white head. Sweet pilsener malt and light saaz aroma. Sweet grassy hop flavor with some light pilsener malt. Medium light body with moderately high carbonation.
Elwood (654), Leesburg, Virginia, USA Mar 15, 2009 Draft. A pale gold with a solid white head. Mild aroma with hints of grass and malt. Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel. It is actually a little heavier than I thought it would be. There is a heavy dose of bittering hops. Malt and bread notes with a touch of grain. Finishes clean with a lingering bitterness. Okay, but not the best example of the style. tronraner (1905), Maryville, Tennessee, USA Feb 16, 2009 Draught at the brewpub. Pours pale yellow with dense white head. The aroma is light and floral, slight hay, and a distant biscuity hint. The flavor is fruitier than I expected; light notes of tropical fruit throughout with some grassy hops that increase toward the finish. Decent.
