It definitely did not taste like 10% ABV - went down very smooth. Slightly weak on the flavor and "fizz". JFGrind (1352), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 1, 2003 Had this on draft at the Grey Lodge Pub in Phila. This didn't taste like any other tripels I've had. Wasn't sweet enough. Had a very creamy taste which wasn't a bad thing. If this was 10% I couldn't tase it. MilkmanDan (1940), Eagan, Minnesota, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jan 16, 2003 Looks like Budweiser. Clear gold, no head. Odd nose, lemony and fruity. Reminds me of a liqueur of some sort. Strange flavor. Sugary. Fresh cut grass. Has an unpleasant finish, metallic and harsh, oddly both nutty and sour. Reminds me in some undefined way of strawberry taffy. Palate is very soft, though I'd characterize it as being a bit too thin. argo0 (6907), Washington DC, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 16, 2003 Updated: Feb 10, 2006(2/9/06) Crystal clear apple juice body with white head. Aroma is mild, medium sweet, herbal, some earthy. Taste is moderately sweey, herbal, alcohol, some melon. Too sweet. Medium-full body, light stickiness. (5/3/5/3/10)
(1/16/03) Clear golden body with minimal head. Aroma is rock-candy sweet and apple. Taste is sweet, apple, some Saaz bitterness. Definite alcohol taste/burn toward the back and in the aftertaste. Taste has no carbonation. FWIW, the brewer indicates they actually use corn in this product -- BMC, you are not alone. (6/2/6/3/12) urbnhautebourg (974), Annapolis, Maryland, USA

Fairly good, but a bit thin and undercarbonated. The Brewers Art has a way of hiding the alcohol, until about two hours later. This is a fun tripel. Enough malty character to keep you going.
