Aroma is mild, medium sweet, herbal, some earthy. Taste is moderately sweey, herbal, alcohol, some melon. Too sweet. Medium-full body, light stickiness. (5/3/5/3/10)
(1/16/03) Clear golden body with minimal head. Aroma is rock-candy sweet and apple. Taste is sweet, apple, some Saaz bitterness. Definite alcohol taste/burn toward the back and in the aftertaste. Taste has no carbonation. FWIW, the brewer indicates they actually use corn in this product -- BMC, you are not alone. (6/2/6/3/12) hopscotch (5543), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

This beer rocks!
Crystal clear, very light yellow ale.
Nice, creamy, white head. Mostly lasting with minimal lacework.
The aroma is interest and good. Notes of jalapenos, Geueze and chardonnay. The high ABV is not evident in the nose.
Tasty. Very sweet up front. Honey and alcohol notes. Well-bittered.
Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation.
Short, astringent, dry finish. World class brew! CaptainCougar (5530), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Aroma of lightly sweet biscuity pale Belgian malt with lots of earthy grassy character and some bittering sulfur. Starts with a light caramely sweetness and earthy bittering hops before a drier bittersweet finish. Not much of a tripel, but an interesting brew nonetheless. Lubiere (4552), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Aroma starts off flowery with sweet malts and soft spices. Begins to drift towards bubblegummy notes grains and dried fruit. Taste is more dried fruits, Belgian yeast, grains, candy notes, and sweet malts. Subtle spices throughout. Body is medium and the carbonation rather bubbly and effervescent. Ends with a stronger spice base, more grains, candy/bubblegum flavors more fruit and Belgian yeast/dusty flavors. Rather enjoyable! Aurelius (2654), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 9, 2006 Musty, yeast aroma -- doughy, light esters and phenols. Very pale clear yellow. Nicely balanced between sweet, bitter, tart and then briny at times. ABV apparent, but it only seems strong in the finish. Fruit notes, light banana. Perppery finish. Medium body. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jan 16, 2003 Looks like Budweiser. Clear gold, no head. Odd nose, lemony and fruity. Reminds me of a liqueur of some sort. Strange flavor. Sugary. Fresh cut grass. Has an unpleasant finish, metallic and harsh, oddly both nutty and sour. Reminds me in some undefined way of strawberry taffy. Palate is very soft, though I'd characterize it as being a bit too thin. CharlesDarwin (1860), Point Judith, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 27, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Aroma comes as a some cold, salty grain sugars and a bit of lemon rind. Pours a very clear gold, with a white rim. Flavor is supple and filled with apple brandy, clean white sugar and bits of yeast bran. Clean, but underdeveloped. There’s potential for complexity and depth, but it doesn’t show through. Sometimes feels just like alcohol for alcohol’s sake, even if the alcohol is well integrated.
