Pours to a beautiful, bright, golden color, with a white head that fades, and a moderate amount of carbonation. The nose of this beer is excellent with aromas of pale, and sweet malt, paired with earthy yeast, and peppery alcohol. The palate is firm, with lots of good sweet and pale malt flavor, along with flavors of candy sugar. Cerebrus finishes with more pale malt flavor up front, then ends with some earthy yeast flavor, and peppery alcohol. Very impressive domestic example of tripel. Went very well with the oyster bacon hash on the bar menu. A wonderful aperitif, and after dinner drink as well. This beer rocks!
Crystal clear, very light yellow ale.
Nice, creamy, white head. Mostly lasting with minimal lacework.
The aroma is interest and good. Notes of jalapenos, Geueze and chardonnay. The high ABV is not evident in the nose.
Tasty. Very sweet up front. Honey and alcohol notes. Well-bittered.
Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation.
Short, astringent, dry finish. World class brew! Holdwine (909), Beertimore, Maryland, USA

The Brewers Art has a way of hiding the alcohol, until about two hours later. This is a fun tripel. Enough malty character to keep you going. Jayb0 (752), Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA

Lovely honey gold color with a thin, lacey, persistent head. Well balanced, masks it’s ABV too well :-) TheBeerGod (3169), Newport News, Virginia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 13, 2008 Draft at Brewers Art the weekend of Max’s 72 Hour Belgian Beerfest. Golden body. Aroma starts off flowery with sweet malts and soft spices. Begins to drift towards bubblegummy notes grains and dried fruit. Taste is more dried fruits, Belgian yeast, grains, candy notes, and sweet malts. Subtle spices throughout. Body is medium and the carbonation rather bubbly and effervescent. Ends with a stronger spice base, more grains, candy/bubblegum flavors more fruit and Belgian yeast/dusty flavors. Rather enjoyable! CharlesDarwin (1849), Point Judith, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 27, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Aroma comes as a some cold, salty grain sugars and a bit of lemon rind. Pours a very clear gold, with a white rim. Flavor is supple and filled with apple brandy, clean white sugar and bits of yeast bran. Clean, but underdeveloped. There’s potential for complexity and depth, but it doesn’t show through. Sometimes feels just like alcohol for alcohol’s sake, even if the alcohol is well integrated. DirtyMartini (194), Los Angeles, Alabama, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 15, 2008 the description is right...deceptively smooth. just the slightest sign of the 9.5%ABV. even my g/f called this a dangerous beer. drank really easy with no burn going down...the alcohol was more apparent in the nose than in the flavor. fruity, malty with a dose of honey in the flavor...very nice indeed
