Pours gold with a generous rocky white head. Smells of sweet oranges, perfume, molasses, hints of warming alcohol, touches of spice, ginger, cumin and peppercorns. Tastes of sweet malt with some mellow bitter hints, a kick of spice and pepper and some nice dryness on the finish. Nicely done!

Sparkly golden with a thick, rocky foam. Slightly plasticy, spicy nose with light bready pale malts and vague continental hop. Spicy taste - mainly a lot of green peppercorn, but some pale malt, and a whiff of late alcohol. The pepper jazzes up an otherwise dull beer but not enough for me.

750, corked and baled. Thanks, after4ever! Pours clear gold with a thick and lacy white head. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Sweet taste of honey and lemon, with a little funk. Nice peppery finish. I gotta congratulate the brewer on this one. The pepper really gets treated as a spice, rather than a heat source, which is just completely melodious with and appropriate to the style. Nice!

750, corked and baled. Thanks, KMWeaver! Crystal clear medium golden with a towering, surging, bubbly white head. Sweet lemon, pepper, and grass on the nose. Nice fizzy medium body. Grass, lemon, and sweet pepper on the mid-palate. Long pepper and grass finish. The pepper is definitely understated enough that it comes in as an accent, rather than dominating at any point. That really makes a drinkable beer that’s still very different and interesting.

750 ML bottle-Poured a cloudy, hazy, light golden color w/a beautiful white, carbonated, moderate head. Sweet, fruity aroma. This had a very light, fruity , dry flavor on the front end, not a sweet as some Belgians tend to be; somewhat winelike. This was followed by a spicy finish which wasn’t quite like anything I’ve ever had before, had some real punch to it; I’d have to attribute that to the peppercorns. Maybe a little trace of colander & orange zest as well. This one was quite good; a little different, but very enjoyable.

Hazy golden body with a large chunky white head, some lace. The nose is sweet and floral with cotton candy, honey and pears. The flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter with pepper, honey, dough and flowers. Medium body is round with moderate-to-high carbonation.

750 ml bottle from slob - da man! Pours clear golden amber with a thick off-white head. Grainy malts, cardboard and florals, hints of funky yeast, somewhat metallic aromas don’t leave me expecting much. Lightly sweet flavor, fruity malts and sweetbread yeasts, florals and definite pepper notes - though more herby than black peppery - hints of unripe summer fruits, slight metallic characteristic, better than the aroma indicated. Medium to full body and tingly carbonation.

Bottle. Pours a light copper color with a off-white head. Aroma of yeast, banana, fruit, pepper, and some spices. Flavor is caramel, banana, light citrus, and pepper medium bodied with a dry finish.
