| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Nov 17, 2009 A great brew, golden to straw-ish in color, Nice white to off-white colored head, good lacing. The aroma was doughy, grainy, wheaty type scents. The flavor was doughy, grainy, slight funk, light fruits, faint funk, dusty cobwebs in the background. The flavor was well-balanced by a clean finish and musty-ness. The mouthfeel was moderate in body, balanced dryness, clean drinker. Good stuff, a very nice BdG! bma4573 (136), Mechanicsville, Maryland, USA

Subtle sugary malt flavor. I really like this style and this is a good representation of it. TheBeerGod (3177), Newport News, Virginia, USA

Nose is fruity and sweet. Taste is VERY fruity with soft yeast, soft caramel, and light flowery hops. Slick feel to the body that typically comes with cask beers. Soft to no carbonation. Lighter feel overall. Lots more big fruit during the finish. More yeast notes and flowers too. Very tasty! SamGamgee (1469), Santa Cruz (La Selva), California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 14, 2009 Draught at the brewpub. Dark gold color with a fluffy white head. Sorry Greg, but the aroma WAS earthy; toasted malt and some fruity pear-like stuff in there as well. The flavor was relatively hoppy, in an earthy herbal way, supported by a toasty malt flavor. Finished with a lingering light bitterness. I can’t say if this is a great biere de garde, but it had a good mix of flavors and its balance was pretty spot on. jgb9348 (2515), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA

Aroma of hops, caramel, malt, caster sugar and cherries. Medium to Full-bodied; Spicey hoppiness with a strong malt backbone and some sugars. Aftertaste clean and pleasant throughout. Overall, a decent beer-nice from a local brewer, but not the best ever! I sampled this pint on draught at RFD in Washington, D.C. on 20-June-2004 with JonR888710 & Haddon90. guzzler67 (1289), Hanover, Maryland, USA

Aroma of lightly sweet biscuity malt and grassy hay character. Starts with a mild doughy sweetness and lots of earthy grassy hay bittering hop notes before a drier finish. An ok Biere de Garde, but could be a little more balanced.
