Commercial Description:
This beer is based on an award-winning homebrew that was created by Bob and Betsy Kepler, of Fairfax, VA. The Keplers won first place in the Strong Belgian category in the prestigious Spirit of Free Beer contest sponsored by BURP (Brewer's United for Real Potables), one of the nation's oldest homebrew clubs. It is a full, malty beer, with nice raisiny overtones.

Crisp flavor, more like a Belgian Ale than a Dubbel. Also had a strong malty alcohol flavor to it.

Draft at the Grey Lodge in Philly. Nice version of a dubbel. Good malt, and caramel taste to it.

Clear orange red body with minimal off-white head. Aroma is orange, caramel. Taste is medium sweet, fruity (orange, cherry), some caramel. Medium watery body that hides the alcohol well.
