Commercial Description:
Our answer to the Belgian «devil» beers (i.e. Lucifer, Duvel, etc.). Both rich and dry, this beer is all too easy to consume in large quantities. Hopped with Styrian Goldings.

Enjoyed on tap at Max’s Taphouse in Baltimore. A very clear golden color with a smaller white head that had only modest cling and short retention. Very good and diverse aroma with mixutres of banana, orange, citurs hops, and some wheat to balance. The taste was a sweety fruity mix of banana and orange with a slight souring effect as well. It was a wet and full beer with average carbonation and a good mouthfeel. A quality beer, that I enjoyed.

750ml from The Wine Specialist, D.C. Figured with the Oz as part of the moniker this would be a good Halloween beer. Super abundant pour, just short of gusher. We’re talking 90% head here to begin with. Pale orange pour, very crisp and lively, even as the head settles down to sticky foamberg. Fruity esters in the nose, along with ripe fruits, some even of the tropical variety (apricot, some tangerine perhaps). Nice body and mouthfeel, and there’s some spicy bite in there along with the malts and fruits, hoppy finish too. Another nice one from TBA.

750ml corked bottle. Pours a medium golden-orange color, a little hazy. The aroma is yeasty, with candi sugar and alcohol coming across. The taste is big, rich, and creamy. Very authentic Belgian mouthfeel and pungent, candi sugar and yeast flavors. A rich golden elixir, with lots of character and a pleasant crisp drinkability.

Pours a transparent bright golden brass color with a large, sticky-lacing froth of white head. Aroma of sweet doughy caramel malts with some earthy grassy horseblanket hops. Body starts fairly full and biscuity sweet with some light fruity esters and authentic Belgian yeastiness along with an assertive earthy bittering hop bite before the finish. A pretty true to style brew.

This poured a hazy golden in color with some orange running through the middle and a foamy white head that dissipated away. The nose gave off aromas of herbal hops, yeast, candi sugar sweetness and a touch of yeast and spice. In the mouth it was medium-bodied and concentrated with earthy/herbal flavors dominating. This was well-balanced with good carbonation keeping it fresh and "light".

750ml Bottle: Sweet aroma. Smells of yeast, spices, pollen, vegetables, lemon, tea, wet grass, and citrus. Poured yellow/golden in color with a huge, foamy, rocky, off-white head that lasted throughout. Hazy. Very sparkling. Excellent lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of corn, alcohol, light spices, herbal hops, pollen, yeast, honey, and chamomile and jasmine notes. Light to medium body. Slick texture. Lively carbonation. Sweet, herbal, floral, dry finish.
