Commercial Description:
Our answer to the Belgian «devil» beers (i.e. Lucifer, Duvel, etc.). Both rich and dry, this beer is all too easy to consume in large quantities. Hopped with Styrian Goldings.

I thought this one tasted like it was made with a bit of a skunk-yeast strain and tasted of rotten breadiness. All in a good way though, and it had some light sweetness before finishing very dry.

Draft at Max’s 72 Hour Belgian Beer Fest. Golden bodied. Somewhat cloudy. Nose is spicy and grainy. Soft hops and fruit. taste elicits more fruit (citrus mainly), spices, wheat notes (more grains). Seemed almost wit-like at times. Light dryness to the body. overall medium with a moderate carbonation tingle. Ends with citrus, flowers, spices and Belgian yeast notes.

Cask. Cloudy gold/yellow body with a small white head. The nose is herbs, grass, slight skunk, honey and cat nip. The flavor is moderately sweet, very lightly bitter with cotton candy, honey, lemon and basil. Medium body is soft with light carbonation.

From the cask at Max’s Taphouse in Baltimore during Belgian fest. Hazy, translucent, straw gold with no head. Served slightly warm. Very subtle nose of grass and citrusy lemons. Flavor is grassy, very floral, slightly yeasty, bananas and fruit esters. Finish is flat, watery with a little lingering fruitness. Great texture, solid flavor, just needs a touch more in the aroma.

Light yellow and hazy with a white head. Smelled horrible like rubber and dirty feet. Tasted worse...Dirt with car exhaust mixed in. Not very good

Tap. Golden pour w/ slight lacing. Very sweet aroma along with a very wheaty, very confusing. Seemed a bit flat and lacked freshness.

Draft at Frisco Grille in Columbia. Clear and light in color with a yellow honey hue. Heavy candy sugar and corn nose, with even some malt-liquor-like fuesal boozy notes. Heavy grains, corn and alcohol. Not good. Ultra-sweet flavor, medicinal and coarse, with peppery alcohol biting the tongue. This beer is a mess.

On Tap-Maryland Brewer’s Oktoberfest. Cloudy golden color w/a slight off white head. Sweet Belgian aroma. Sweet, spicy flavor of cane sugar & lemon w/a spicy element to it, maybe some orange peel? Had a slight wheat flavor to it as well. Quite good, best beer I had @ the Fest (couldn’t get near the Duclaw Booth!). Very easy to drink; alcohol was well hidden.
