The nose is spicy, floral, and malty. Spicy (coriander), malty, and fruit in the flavor with a medium body. Creamy smooth texture. Very nice and drinkable beer. webjedi (249), Silver Spring, Maryland, USA

Had it on tap two Thursdays ago, downed, I think three of them that evening. Smooth taste with just s slight bite (not as much as their peppercorn). Light whispy head, birhgt golden yellow hue. Lightly sweet and almost a light hint of malt (maybe I’m just not good at pullign it out). Extremely nice session beer at the location, better than the Cerebus if you ask me. | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Feb 10, 2006 Served on draught at the brewpub in a chalice. Any time a beer is served in its proper glass is a nice touch. Pours to a beautiful, bright, golden color, with a nice white head, and a lively carbonation. The nose on this beer is very well done, with lots of good pale malt flavors, hints of spicy yeast, and peppery alcohol. The palate is firm with good pale malt, and estery flavors of pineapple. This beer finishes with more good pale malt flavors up front, then ends with a spicy and peppery burn. Very well done. Similar to their triple, but not as sweet, and with more of a dry malt character. Was an excellent match to a molasses beef brisket sandwich, as it cut right though the richness and sweetness of the brisket. Makes a excellent aperitif beer. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 16, 2005 Peppery, herbal, haylike aroma. Clear, brilliant, golden blond body is topped by a low white head that recedes to partial cover and ring. Peppery spiciness hovers over haylike, grassy, herbal hop character with lightly musty malts and assertive bitterness. Wheat flavour is lasting in the aftertaste. Light body is very dry with lively carbonation. Sampled at Kennett Square Brewfest 2005. Rastacouere (5564), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 25, 2005 Frothy white head mounts the hazy very pale golden hue. Delicate pils malt offers pleasant hay and toasted grain flavours that are undertaken by generous (in the Belgian sense) fragrant lemony and perfumey hops. The yeast component adds a banana juice and sourdough kick of its own and the result is a rather well balanced, highly sessionable Belgian ale that compensate its lack of memorable distinction by masterful drinkability. Light-medium body, very attractive carbonation, just enough tartness and bitterness. MartinT (5075), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

The Festivities: Spicy, peppery hop flavor and bitterness hitches a ride on the prickly carbonation. Sweet, fruity malt is felt, almost balancing out the spritzy hoppiness. Lightly dusty, simple, and flavorful, an interesting creation,

Needs a bit more malt, but when warmed it reminded me of a Lucifer. If this Belgian strong ale was an Ozzy Osbourne song it would be ’No More Tears’.
