Aroma of malt and fruits (pumpkin?). Flavor of malt and fruits with a little something that feels quite unpleasant. The body is light with an oily texture and lively carbonation. Towering foam clings onto the sides of the glass, but cannot shield the problems revealed.
The Festivities: Bountiful caramel maltiness benefit from the citrusy, orangey hoppy presence in the back. Ample carbonation and hop bitterness dry out the all-out candi sugar, and thankfully there is no sign of the aforementioned diacetyl and DMS. Either this keg was in the process of turning, or my nose was confused in its languages.
Transcendence: Nostalgia has its pros and cons. egajdzis (3629), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of bananas, clove, caramel malts, and other spices. Taste of caramel malts, light roast, citrus fruits, yeast, and a touch of alcohol. Fruity white wine or champagne like aroma. Malty carmel flavors, the carmel explodes in the finish. Very fruity, with slight wine-like notes present. Dickinsonbeer (3494), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA

Aroma is slightly malty with lots of esters and fruit to balance it out. Flavor is mostly fruity with a bit of peach, apricot and some plum. Good amount of malt background. A bit of hops for bittering. Not too strong and doesnt finish too sweet. scraff (1946), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 14, 2005 Found on tap as a guest brew at Rams Head Tavern - Savage Mill. Deep clear rusty ambers and browns, thick light tan head. As it warmed, nice aromas of rum raisin, fig, and caramel get encompassed with a light fruity overtone. Dark fruity, malty flavors up front receive a light hop dose in the end. Very nice balance that never hits the sweetness line too hard. Medium bodied, but a tad watery in the mouth, rum-like, raisiny finish. Brewers Art makes really nice Belgian ales, and should be on the essential list if ever visiting Charm City.... jon112981 (327), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA

Awesome place with a cafe/bistro feel to it. The resurrection was a overall solid beer that might lack the subtleties of better Belgians. A little one note, but a good one. Awesome Tap handle of a rustic crucifix.
