Lubiere (4463), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Feb 22, 2009 A clear dark brown ale with a thin white head. A nice nutty malt with orange peels, a bit funky and herbal, quite nice. In mouth, a nice light licorice wafting through the malt, a bit of chocolate, medium bodied. Very nice indeed. On tap at brewpub, Dec. 28 2008. UofFkid (108), Orlando, Florida, USA Jan 2, 2008 Tap. Amber pour with decent head. Very hearty and very warming. It’s texture was a bit flat though, I enjoy Holiday beers with a bit more behind them. Great ginger taste. Very enjoyable. Aurelius (2643), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Dec 9, 2006 Clear, dark woody brown. ginger is the predominant flavor over a sweetish caramel ale. Acidic, fruit. Good bittering. I’m such a sucker for gingerbeer. Finishes out with a side-of-the-tongue, spicy, hop bitterness. Medium body.
