Skeegle (293), USA Jul 14, 2008 Great sweetness in this one. Very smooth flavors of plum and watery cloves. Some yeastiness but it isn’t very noticeable for a Belgian style ale. Very good. weeare138 (924), Collegeville, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 14, 2006
Thanks to Matt Capone(BA capones) for buying me this one...
Appears a transparent gold with a fluffy white head that slowly fades into a mild cap. Small amounts of CO2 pump to the top. Scattered lacing is left around the glass.
Smell is of citrus, flowery, with earthy, spicy notes and perhaps a touch of diacetyl and yeast found in the nose.
Taste is of the same aromas with a more balanced Saison grassiness and funk coming through.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, gently spiced, with a low level of carbonation and citrus coming through. Dickinsonbeer (2469), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Nov 10, 2006 On tap at Capones in Norristown PA. Pours a moslty clear- slight chill haze at first with a nice lasting sticky white head. Aroma is pils malt, bready, lgihtly yeasty, and light fruity esters with just a bit of spicy hops. Flavor too is very malt accentuated, bready, with some fresh yeastiness, lgithly phenolic and clove-like and a hint of fruti as it warms. Smooth and goes down easy. Nice brew. blank (999), Washington, Washington DC, USA Mar 22, 2006 RDF tasting with MJ: A redish orangish brown ish beer with a very flowery aroma, almost candy like. Strangly, i got a very sour taste from it. argo0 (6019), Washington DC, USA Dec 17, 2005 Clear apple juice body with off-white head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, candi sugar, some orange, bubblegum. Taste is medium sweet, pepper, orange peel, bubblegum. Watery light-medium body.
