Brewers Den Hop Hog Barley Wine

Growler courtesy of hellbilly. Good friuty orange, floral and pine aromas like an IPA. Amber body with mustard colored head. Josh stated it was bitter but after a week in the frige that has mellowed out and good with me anyway. Orange peel flavor with that dry resin present. but that is balanced out with the chewy orange citrus. Smooth on the palate and sure the face will be numb by the time I finish this growler. maple syrup color with a small white head which produces light lacing. intensely hoppy aroma... floral, bubblegum, grass, pine and citrus combine with a bit of fruit and caramel-y grain. hops are everywhere in the flavor as well but they are not overpowering... floral, pine, orange and lime hoppiness mix with a nice caramely malt backbone. dry parching finish with a long lingering aftertaste of grass and pine. it’s the hops show... just how i like my BW.
