Skyview (2851), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Dec 8, 2007 On draught as Triple Red at the Brewer’s Den (Sonora Brewhouse) in Phoenix, AZ. Pours a dark coppery amber brew with a creamy off-white head that has some good retention and lacing. Aroma is over the top citrus zest, grapefruit, and a dense piney forest. The infused hop is so strong it cancels out most of the caramel malt scents. Taste is a typical double IPA with more bite than usual. Finish is dry, has a hard pine aftertaste and the a lingering alcohol flavored bitterness. This will keep the hophead happy. Bockyhorsey (1969), Mesa, Arizona, USA Sep 10, 2007 Tap @ Brewhouse. Good orange citrus aroma along with some hops lighting up the nose. Copper body with off white head. Good dose of hop punch for flavor. Dry orange peel in the flavor. Dry palate with alcohol lingering from the infusion of hops just devoured. If you a hop head call and see if this one is still on tap.
