Poured a robust black with a tan head from the tap at the Den. Cocoa and vanilla nose that continue into the taste. Smokey malts with a warm alcohol finish. Very tasty--if not a little burnt.

On tap at Made in the Shade Festival Flagstaff AZ. Porus a dark brown with a nice brown head. Aroma is vanilla, coffee, roasted barley and chocolate. Flavor is chocolate, barley, coffee and vanilla. Nice and creamy mouthfeel.

Cask @ Brewhouse. Vanilla is a dominant aroma and flavor for this beer. Also has good roasted aroma as well. Black body with creamy head and moderate lacing. Flavor has the vanilla cream along with sweet roast and noticed some mild bitter. Beer is easy and smooth on the palate.

very dark brown almost black pour with reddish tints. it’s topped with a ring of foam which lasts all the way to the bottom of the glass. the aroma is packed with fresh vanilla beans, rich roasted grains, cream, coffee and chocolate. the flavor is a nice traditional porter underneath a blanket of vanilla... wood, coffee, chocolate and a light ashiness followed by a finish of porter sourness. lingering mellow coffee aftertaste. full bodied with a very creamy texture... like beer flavored vanilla creme brulee before it’s baked
