Commercial Description:
A dark lager with an exceptionally fine taste which is talked about with recognition and admiration. Staropramen Dark is exceptional for its calming, full-bodied, sweetish caramel taste with gentle, hopsy bitterness. It is a taste you will never forget.

Bottle @ BA: Well rounded and full bodied, within style. Light smokey and soft malt base. Nice.

A clear dark amber colored beer, with a thick beige head. The aroma of caramel mout, a little roasted and some fruits. The taste is caramel sweet with some bitter hops and some fruits. The aftertaste is bittersweet, with a dry finish.

Draught, twice in Bratislava. One time in pub Bastion and second time in other pub. In bastion beer was far better. Creamy head, dark brown color. Fruity aroma, malty tones. Flavor is more malty at the beginning, but finish is hoppy. Great!

Draught. Dark ruby brown colour with a small tan head. Aroma is sweet roasted malt. The flavour is also sweet, roasted and malty with low bitterness. Medium bodied and oily texture. A bit thin but still a quite good beer.

0,33 bottle, poured in a plastic glass at the Řya-festival Oslo, Norway. My second try at this one. The first time I ordered it the incompetent bartender actually gave me a Staropramen lager, fairly nice too, but not what I asked for. Anyway. Medium beige creamy head, stays as a wee lid all the way to the bottom. Dark golden burnt umber colour. Fruity aroma of malt and hops, hint of apple. Lovely creamy palate, medium carbonation. Tastes of apple, gentle hint of malt and hoppy bitterness. Nice hoppy finish. Impressive beer, a fine surprise at a music festival.
